In collaboration with the UPH Faculty of Medicine Student Senate and UTDC PMI Tangerang District, the Department of Community Services Student Executive Board (BEM) UPH held a blood donation event. The event was held for 2 days, on 4 and 7 November 2013.

This blood donation event is a manifestation of the aspirations of UPH students,” said Nazla (FK 2010), chief of the committee Blood Donation 1, met at the first day of the event. She also added that the event is also motivated by the high needs of blood bags in Tangerang. Currently the demand for blood bags with the amount of blood bags available is 2 to 1, so we really need those donors,” said Nazla. In the first round of blood donors this year BEM UPH target around 400-500 blood bags.

“Blood donation itself is good for heart and can make the body more fit while doing activities, because our body produces new blood,” said Nazla appreciating the donors. Handled by 17 staffs from PMI and 8 FK UPH students, about 200 people had donated blood on the first day. In particular, the blood donor program at UPH also share many values ??related to blood donation and give free blood-sugar check up for the first 75 participants.

Blood Donation 1 is open for public and will be held again on Thursday, November 7, 2013 in Faculty of Medicine UPH building, from 10 AM to 2 PM. (ym)
