UPH Take the First Place in Biology at the OSN Pertamina 2013 Competition

UPH once again succeeded in seizing an achievement at the Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN) Pertamina 2013. This year, Gabriella Carmelita, a student from Biology Department batch 2010, won the first place in Biology, followed by Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Andalas in second and third place respectively.

This year OSN Pertamina was held from November to December 2013 and was participated by many universities from across Indonesia. The featured theme in this competition, ?Inovasi Sobat Bumi, Prestasi untuk Negeri? (Innovations from Friends of the Earth, Attainments for the Country), was incorporated in 4 category of theory competitions and 3 categories of scientific project competitions.

?The OSN Pertamina 2013 is an embodiment of our consistency in supporting the progress of Indonesia education. By organizing this event, we provide a stage for the young generations that are proficient in science fields to display their innovations. Moreover, this competition has entered its sixth time and so far, all of the competitions have received positive responses.
