On Sunday (26/01) both male and female team of The Eagle won the final round of Liga Mahasiswa that took place at Gelanggang Mahasiswa Soemantri Brojonegoro. The Eagle male team beat Universitas Esa Unggul while the female Eagle team won over Perbanas Institute.
The competition between UPH female team and Perbanas was very tight, by the end of the first match the score was tied, 21-21. However, Ivone Febriani Sinatra managed to add more scores by the last seconds with her 2-points shot, making the end score became 47-45 for UPH.
Meanwhile the competition between UPH male team and Universitas Esa Unggul ended in an anti-climactic way. At the beginning of match, the Eagle was left behind by UEU with the score 19-22. The score began to change drastically when the second round commenced, Eagles won with a big difference of scores, 42-26. The Eagle center player for the male team, Kristianto Halim, became the player with the highest score; a total of 14 points was made through his shot.
Metcalfe admitted that he always put his best effort in order to make the Eagle perform to their best. As a result, the competitor teams will be aware of UPH team in the competition.
