Design Exhibition 2014, Pre-Event

Universitas Pelita Harapan Faculty of Design held a Design Exhibition to show all the artworks created by the students from 4 majors of Design. The majors are Product Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication Design, and Architecture. This exhibition is located at the corridor under UPH gym near the Olympic swimming pool, from February 3 to February 7, 2014. Students that passed through the corridor could enjoy the creative artwork that students of Faculty of Design had made.

Monica Angelina (Communication Visual Design, 2011), one of the head of event comittee, hoped that the exhibition could attract UPH students to become more aware of Design students? works. Design Week is the pre-event of Design Expo, an anual event presented by the 4 Faculty of Design majors, that will take place later in mid May. At the pre-event, UPH students were not only visiting the exhibition, they also could try their hands on the Instagram competition. ? This competion is very efficient. On the first day, there are approximately 20 people who want to join the competition. So, this competition is quite appealing,? said Monica

About 40 artworks were being exhibited at the Design Week. These works are presented by the students of Product Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication Design and Architecture. The Design Expo event, continuation of Design Week, will be held at Supermall Karawaci.

Design Expo will have many engaging events such as exhibition, competitions, and a design camp ? a special program for highschool students. In design camp, students can get to know more of design world. They will have opportunities to see closely workshop activities at UPH. (pris)
