UPH Communication Student Council is back with the biggest annual event of Communication, the 2014 Comvee, started from March 3 and will end on March 7. Highlighting the theme CommuniCreation, the committee?s aspiration this year is to express that every person has a creativity drives that can create an effective communication. That aspiration is shown through Communication students? creativity, the giant clap. Not only exhibiting the theme, this giant clap is also awarded a certification by Museum Rekor Indonesia.
Comvee 2014 was officially commenced by UPH Faculty of Communication Dean, Prof. Aleksius Jemadu, Ph.D.,on Monday, March 3, 2014. In his remarks, Prof. Aleksius complimented the students? creativity and reminded them that the activities should follow the vision and mission of UPH. Head of UPH Communication Department, Rose Emmaria Tarigan, S.Sos., M.Si., also expressed her praise for the committee?s works. ?In life, there has to be a change. The same also applies in the 2014 Communication Avenue. There are many changes in this year event, but I am proud of the committee who always keep the very same spirit from year to year.?

After the fashion show, the awarding ceremony by MURI for the biggest clap took place. At the end of the commencement event, baloons were released, accompanied with Send and Gery Band performance, which signified the beginning of Comvee 2014. Comvee 2014 events feature various seminars and competitions with the topic of communication and entertaiment world. (ca)
