According to Jahja Sunatra, Talent Acquisition & Development Senior Manager PT. Lippo Karawaci, Tbk., the most ideal for fresh graduate is to first foray into the world of work to find out and apply the theories from four-years study in university while preparing to continue to the next phase of life. ?It aims to know what our passion and strength are,? said Jahja. After we find out what the real work looks like, he suggested continuing the formal or informal education, as the provision to progress and develop in the professional work life.
To accommodate the graduates to enter the professional world, UPH Business School, again, held a Job Placement program on 13 April 2015 at MYC Multi Purpose Room UPH. This program was the third time where the graduates could directly meet with the companies with job vacancies to do direct selections.
The companies that participated in this Job Placement program were Lippo Group and Nobu Bank. There were 31 graduates from Accounting and Management UPH Business School as the Job Placement participants. It was started with the psychology test at 8 am, and then an interview and contract signing for the accepted graduates.
Through this program, the qualified participants in each stage could directly get the job opportunity without any long processes. Dr. Antonius Herusetya, Ak., M.M., the Head Department of Accounting UPH, told the participants to prepare in entering the new stage of life, the professional work life. The mental and good attitude is truly needed by professionals in work life.
Lippo Group, founded by Mochtar Riady in 1950s, is the multinational company that engaged in various fields of industry, like properties such as satellite cities, residences, condominiums, class A office spaces, industrial and shopping centers, hotels, golfs, and hospitals. Besides Indonesia, Lippo Group also has a similar property business in China and Singapore. In the field of retail business, they subdue several ventures such as Matahari Putra Prima as Foodmart, Matahari Department Store and Hypermart as well as retails in health and beauty products. Moreover, there are also businesses in media, telecommunication, information technology, cable TV, even banking, insurance, and others.
