In starting a business, according to Andy who has 34 years of professional experience in the Information Technology (IT), the background and experiences are really important to analyze the market potential. ?My experience in IT gives me information in the real field that it was in urgent need of big amount of data. That particular situation, I made it as the opportunity to plunge into the business of IT solution,? uttered Andy who is also the SAP Partner in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Vanessa who is successful with the Food & Beverage (F&B) business stated that product specification is important to gain advantage in the market.

After starting up the business, here comes the strategy on how to penetrate the market. In this phase, all the speakers were on the same page that the ability to see which products that can give added value to the target market, becomes the key important points. ?Otherwise, our market share can be taken by competitors with the similar products but having stronger value-added,?

In addition, it is common for startup to have trial and error. Related to that, Yossa, who started his business from square one until now he successfully established six creative businesses said that we do not have to make the same mistakes, but we could learn from other?s failures. ?We have to first research to know about the product that will be created, find ideas that people will like,? added Vanessa.

The discussion about product was then continued with the issue of ?people?. Budi explained that chemistry with partners is more important than complementary skills. Andy also gave points of inspiration, ?If you have strong partner, it is good indeed. Remember! We do not own our business ourselves, but we only manage what God has given to us,? explained Andy. In terms of finding the right partner that is matched with our way of work, according to Yossa, is by understanding the business model and their own styles that can be seen through various ways, for instance, how their interactions with others shown in social media.
