Students of Biola University on UPH Internship Program

On June 15, 2015, Pelita Harapan University (UPH) welcomed a visit of several international guests including Biola University.

On June 15, 2015, Pelita Harapan University (UPH) welcomed a visit of several international guests including Biola University. Their purpose of visit was to to strengthen the togetherness between partners and as realization of the yearly partnership agreement between UPH and Biola. This has been the second year of the partnership agreement.

 

There were approximately 12 clinical and research students from Biola University that participated in the internship program at Mochtar Riady Institute of Nanotechnology (MRIN) and Siloam Hospital for two weeks from June 10-30, 2015. Escorted by five professors from Biola University, 8 students participated on clinical program at Siloam Hospital facilitated by Faculty of Medicine. Meanwhile, the rest 4 students were participating on research program at MRIN under the supervision of dr. Ivet Suriapranata.

 

UPH International Office also supported this program by injecting several cultural exposure events, where the students may know more about Indonesian culture through dances, music, foods, and the Bahasa itself. (nn)

?It?s been a dream of mine to come to Java since high schools. I?m excited to be here to enjoy the food, watch the shadow puppets and gamelan. I?ve been blessed by the graciousness and friendliness of the students and faculty and it?s a blessing that God allows me to come on this trip. I can?t wait to come back.
