Successful in hosting Alumni Business Network (ABN) entitled ?Business Startup?, this time, due to UPH Festival 22, on August 22, 2015 at MYC Multipurpose UPH, UPH Alumni Center once again held the second session entitled ?Proven Ways to Generate Revenue?. This event presented successful UPH alumni in business industry as speakers, such as Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja (Director at Creador, Alumni UPH Industrial Engineering 1997) and Dimas Surya Yaputra (Co-Founder and Commercial Director tiket.com, Alumni of UPH Management 2007). This event also invited Budi Legowo (Vice President for Marketing, External Relations and Business Development UPH) to represent the professional. This talkshow was moderated by Jose Marwan (Director of Heartline Radioand broadcasted live on Heartline Radio 100.6 FM.
ABN was the second session as the continuation of Business Startup discussing about product and people in starting business. Furthermore, in Proven Ways to Generate Revenue, several things were discusses such as funding resources, marketing promotion, and market and positioning. Stefanus shared that there are many sources of fund for the entrepreneurs and startups. However, there are still many entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs who still close their selves and stand on the old-fashioned principle. ?This world nowadays has become an interconnected world, so that the businessman should change their mindsets. It is not the era to close your self and think ?I do not want to share my business with anybody else?, a business is not one man show world. If you need resources, you need to share and be a strong networker,? Stefanus added in finding resources to fund business topic. After discussing about business for two hours, the event was continued with question and answer session by alumni, door prize, photo session, and hospitality.
Approximately 50 alumni of UPH attended to get some inspirational insights from the young entrepreneurs whom have graduated from UPH and successful in national and international level. This event was meant for the alumni to create a networking and strengthen the bond between alumni and UPH. ABN will continue its third and fourth series, and hopefully there will be more UPH alumni participate. (fc/nn)
