UPH Communication Student Council Held a Company Visit to RCTI and Lowe Indonesia

Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan (STPPH) and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) signed an MOU in the ?double degree? program for STPPH Diploma IV students.

UPH Communication Student Council held a company visit to a television station RCTI and Lowe Indonesia, in Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Company visit was one tool to observe the development of practical knowledge in companies and it was also a program from UPH Communication Student Council 2015. This activity was created for batch 2015 and it acquires many enthusiastic welcome. A number of 47 students joined this event, accompanied by 19 committee members from committee and accompanied by one of the lecturers, Eric Gunawan.

 

At RCTI, the group was invited for a tour to several studio locations of dahSyat, sport news, master chef and X-Factor studio. Students were also invited to see the control room to know the controlling process during shooting. The group then continued their trip to Lowe Indonesia, an international creative agency company which had been active for 25 years with its representation all over the world. Students followed a presentation about Lowe Indonesia and the scope of activity in this company, which focuses on marketing and public relations. The activity was the followed with a tour at the Lowe Indonesia office and students were introduced to the staffs and head of each division they visited.

 

 

This event has been very useful for every participant. They?re able to get the real picture of a job that is related with communication major and they also enriched their practical knowledge. Students had also gotten the picture of the situation and condition in a company, as well as a competition in business world, knowing the development of knowledge and its application, especially in communication field inside a company.

 

 

According to Cassie Regina, the coordinator of Company Visit program, this event was done to enrich student?s knowledge and insights. It also can help new students from Communication Major Batch 2015 who will choose their concentration in semester three later on. ?Hopefully, they can choose the right concentration that fits their passion right,?
