Study program (Prodi) of Electrical Engineering UPH are in collaboration with a consortium of 22 universities from the European Union and Asia in the project Erasmus Mundus entitled LEADERS

 
 

 

 

Study program (Prodi) of Electrical Engineering UPH are in collaboration with a consortium of 22 universities from the European Union and Asia in the project Erasmus Mundus entitled LEADERS (Leading mobility between Europe and Asia in Developing Engineering education & research), re-open scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students (exchange students), master (exchange student), doctoral (Ph.D.) (exchange student) and the exchange of staff.

 

Since the launch of the partnership between Prodi of Electrical Engineering UPH with 22 university partners in the project Erasmus Mundus, in July 2014, UPH has and will send lecturers of Electrical Engineering UPH to pursue graduate study and do research stay at universities partner in the European Union, as well as be the host for the visit of researchers from partner universities with funding from the European Union. In the first batch, the doctoral scholarship program was obtained by Endrowednes Kuantama, M. Eng., Professor of Electrical Engineering UPH, which had been dispatched in August 2015 to the University of Oradea in Romania to begin S3 education in the field of robotics. Faculty exchange programs between partner universities have also been scheduled, namely, Dr. Henri P. Uranus, professor of Electrical Engineering UPH, will depart for the City University of London in the spring of 2016 while Dr. Ian Grout, professor of Electrical Engineering Limerick University, Ireland will visit UPH for 2 months in 2016.

Scholarships event for various Erasmus Mundus program (newly Erasmus+) class of 2015 from Indonesia held by the European Union Representative Office in Indonesia on August 1, 2015.
 

 

After the departure of the first batch in August 2015 ago, Prodi of Electrical Engineering UPH re-opens opportunity for the 2nd batch. Study areas that are prioritized in this scholarship program are for electrical and electronic engineering, ICT, photonic and biomedical engineering, computer engineering, energy and power systems, informatics and telecom engineering. Scholarships are given including daily living expenses, airfare, insurance, and subsidies for the cost of participation, such as the student union fee, library membership, and others if staying more than 10 months.

Registration can be done through www.emleaders.eu on 23 October 2015-23 December 2015 and learning will begin in mid-2016.

 

Those entitled to apply are:

? Undergraduate student exchange program (6 months of study or research at partner universities in Europe): Students UPH most have passed over the 1-year study.

? Master student exchange program (6 months of study or research at partner universities in Europe): Lecturers of UPH who are following graduate studies in Indonesia, UPH graduate students who have passed at least during the first year of study.

? Doctorate student exchange program (6 months of study or research at partner universities in Europe): Lecturer FMU being followed Ph.D studies in Indonesia, have completed at least one year of study.

? Staff exchange program (3-month study visits at partner universities in Europe): Staff UPH

 

This scholarship is very competitive. Indonesia joined in the same group as Malaysia, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Philippines, North Korea. The applicants should submit their documents online and will be judged by a committee of the consortium. Electrical Engineering also held information sessions regarding these scholarships which will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at 11:30 in Building B, 547 UPH.
