The 23rd UPH Festival: Students Testimonies for Open House Event

UPH did not just welcome new students without anything special, on the 23rd UPH Festival, UPH also held Open House to welcome the high school students. This event was held at the D501 and D502 building of UPH Campus

 

On the 23rd UPH Festival, UPH held an Open House event to welcome the high school students. This event was held at the D501 and D502 building of UPH Campus on Thursday, August 18, 2016. The event came with various activities including explanation about UPH, admission process, a campus tour and there was also an entertaining performance from the Beilys Acoustic, from the alumni of UPH.

 

Students who participated in this event could get a variety of useful information, ranging from the information about the campus of UPH itself, its environment, the faculty team, the departments, faculties and majors? profile, as well as the reason why UPH is the right place for students to continue their studies. At the same occasion, an explanation about scholarship opportunities, which could be obtained through academic and non-academic path, was also given. Students were also introduced to the online registration system for the new students of UPH.

 

At the occasion, Erick Tjitra, alumni of Communication Studies, 2011, hosted the event. He proudly exclaimed that UPH is an international based campus, which means that the system that UPH uses is similar with the universities in other countries, which collaborates with UPH. Aside from that, for some department, Dual Degree Program is offered, in this program, students are able to obtain two degrees from UPH and partnering University in other countries. Another program for UPH students is a Double Degree Program, which enables students to take two majors at one time, so that when they graduate, they are able to obtain two degrees with a slightly longer term of studies than those who took single degree program. Through this presentation, students were able to know information about UPH which will surely be useful when they are going to continue their studies.

 

The Open House on the 23rd UPH Festival would be held every day during the 23rd UPH Festival, from August 18 to 20, 2016. Some schools have already attended the first day of the 23rd UPH Festival, such as Kalam Kudus High School, Strada St. Thomas Aquino High School, Ketapang III High School, Mentari High School, Atisa Dipamkara High School and Notre Dame High School. At the end of the event, all participants were offered to join the campus tour. (Fairyska)

?I think that this UPH is really great, the environment and surrounding is really clean and what like the most is the convenient computer lab. I am currently in 12th grade and my visit here is the third time for me. I really hope that UPH will continue to grow in the future.?

?This is the first time for me to visit UPH. My first impression about this place is a campus with a great environment and surrounding, where the students are really nice and great. I do not find any drawbacks in UPH and I really like UPH.?

?The facilities in UPH are really great and the environment is really clean and convenient. This is the third time for me to come here since my visit to campus on 10th grade. My impression did not change during my visit here UPH still is the same great and convenient place.?

?This Open House is really great and exciting. I could get many great information about the admission process in UPH. I feel like going to college in UPH, is like going to college in foreign countries, because the environment of the campus itself is similar to those in foreign countries. This is the third time for me to visit UPH, the first and the second one was with my mother and the third one is this campus visit.?

?This is the second time for me to visit UPH. My impression about UPH is really great and I have planned to continue my studies in the communication major of UPH. I hope that in the future, I can be a successful student, because I?m very sure that UPH can help me to be a successful person.?

?On my first visit to UPH, I was following a seminar. My first impression about this campus in really great, it?s a big campus and it has many facilities. I plan to continue my studies in UPH and I would want to take its Communication major.?

?I really think that UPH is the right choice for me, because I really want to go to medicinal school and UPH has a cheaper price for tuition, compared to other universities. Aside from that, I also got many information about other majors from this event and through this Open House I had gain more knowledge. I really hope that if I could enter UPH, I will get a great and vast networking.?

?My first time here is really great, because UPH has really great facilities and the service here is really great too and I couldn?t forget about the interesting majors. I have planned to continue my studies in the School of Hospitality and Tourism UPH.?

?This event is really great and very exciting! Because there was entertaining performances from the bands and there were some door-prizes. This is the nth time for me to visit UPH because my brother is in the Accounting major of UPH. I really hope that I could continue my studies in the communication major of UPH.
