Once again, the Marketing and Admission Department of Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) held Dean?s Talk, to introduce the faculty to parents and High School students, who are interested towards a certain faculty. On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Business School held Dean?s Talk, with approxiamtely 70 participants, consisted of parents and High School students.
The board of faculty who were present in the Dean?s Talk includes: Sabrina Oktaria Sihombing, Associate Dean, Dr. Jerry Marcellinus Logahan, Head of Management Department, M.Si., Peggy Adeline Mekel, Director of the International Program, as well as Melinda Haryanto, S.E., M.M, Vice Chairman of the Accounting Department. |

The Management Department focuses on nine areas; they are International Business, Financial Planner, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, Retail Economic, Urban Economic, Health Science Management and Economic and Management in General.
While the Accounting Department has its own uniqueness, equipped with its profession certification program, such as the CFP (Certified Financial Planner), the faculty also collaborates with CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Ikatan Akuntansi Indonesia (IAI) for scholarship programs. Aside from that, the Business School of UPH also has partnerships with various industries, which will eventually supports students with a vast area of knowledge and experience.
The explanation regarding the Joint-Degree program between UPH-RMIT and International Program was explained by Peggy Adeline. ?Students of the Joint Degree program will obtain two degree, Bachelor of Economics from UPH and Bachelor of Accountancy or Management from RMIT. Whereas for the International Program, students will not get two degree, but they will have the opportunity to be taught by lecturers and professors from renowned Universities from foreign countries,? Peggy explained.
?Now, we have 10 foreign lecturers in Business School UPH, all from different universities,? she added.
At the end of the Dean?s Talk, two Business School alumni, Irene Ivana Lasut, from Management 2011, and Daniel, from the Joint Degree program 2014, gave their testimony. Hopefully, through this session, participants would want know and understand the programs offered in Business School UPH better. The event was continued with a Q&A session and registration consultation with the Admission Team of UPH. |
