Once again, Heartline 100.6FM Radio invites its listeners to join the hype of UPH Festival through its Talk Show segment, which brought the theme ?UPH Festival Encourages Students to Bear Fruit for the Nation? and was aired on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 16.00 ? 17.00. The segment, which was hosted by Dina Virgy, presented three key speakers who will talk about the 24th UPH Festival, which will be held on August 16-19, 2017, at UPH Lippo Village, Karawaci, Tangerang.
The three key speakers are Andry M. Panjaitan, Director of Student Life UPH and the Committee Coordinator of the 24th UPH Festival, Erric Raymond Tatimu, from the Event Division of the 24th UPH Festival, and Rosse Hutapea, Media Relations UPH.
As the media partner of the 24th UPH Festival, Heartline Radio prepares a segment which is specifically made to promote the 24th UPH Festival, so that it could be known by more people, especially those around Karawaci and Tangerang. This was done so that the people are able to know what UPH Festival is, what they can find there and for them to join the festivity.
?Since the beginning, UPH Festival has been designed to welcome the new students and also for the public to know UPH better through the variety of program which they could participate in,? Andry stated.
This year, the 24th UPH Festival brought up the theme ?Bear Fruit?. Through this theme, new students are encouraged to learn earnestly so they can become impactful individuals for their society and bear fruit for the nation. Certainly, this theme is very relevant with the commemoration of Indonesia?s Independence Day which is getting closer.
Virgy also asked about how does UPH motivates its new students to bear fruit. As a respond, Andry and Erric by explaining that the whole program within this festival have already been made to be integrated with the theme; starting from the socialization of UPH vision and mission, the inauguration of new students, campus environment and students? activity unit introduction, as well as team building activities which aims to strengthen the bond between the new students and their seniors.
?UPH sees the new students as a part of the family. Thus, we will warmly welcome them just like a family member. This becomes a first impression that will spark students? eagerness to learn and their enthusiasm to start college. Hence, we hope that in the future, UPH students are able to bear fruitful works that will be useful for the society, according to their competence and discipline,? Andry explained.
Moreover, the 24th UPH Festival is open to public, which means that everyone is able to join the festivity of this event. ?There are a number of programs which could be enjoyed by the public such as, Founder?s 5K Merdeka Run; this particular event is held to inculcate nationalism and patriotism as an important value for the new students. Thus growing the willingness to bear fruit as the way to fill independence,? said Andry.
At the end of the session, Rosse once again remind the listeners to come and experience the 24th UPH Festival on Saturday, August 19, 2017, to witness International Basket Ball Exhibition, UPH Scholarship Day, UPH Students? Work Exhibition, up to the final event with music performances from the students of Conservatory of Music UPH, as well as Human Configuration with the 3500 new students, and fireworks party. (rh) |
