Campus life has to encourage students to become active in organizations and to represent the said campus itself. Therefore, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) has an annual program called Ambassadors of UPH to find suitable students who are able to become representatives of UPH, whose vision is in line with UPH?s. This program was also introduced during UPH Public Exposure, which was held in Lippo Mall Puri on July 29, 2017.
Through this event, UPH wants to introduce the life of UPH students within the campus to the public through its representatives, students who have participated in Ambassador of UPH. Following are their testimonies about life in UPH:
Grady Mathias, Ambassador of UPH 2017, Applied Mathematics 2016 ?As students, we have our responsibility to learn, to pursue our talents and our passion. In my first year of college, I?ve managed to obtain a 4.00 GPA. But I believe that it is also important for me to get out of my comfort zone, and to not just learn to obtain great GPA. Learning is getting out of our comfort zone. As we get out of our comfort zone, there?s where life actually starts.?
Firman Daud, alumni of International Relation UPH 2013 ?Facing new things can sometimes be scary, but only then can I learn to broaden my knowledge and develop myself to become blessings for others. UPH has successfully helped me to grow and become a greater version of myself. It takes a long process and great amount of effort to become blessing and impactful for others, and one of them is by letting ourselves serve others.?
Debby Tanles, finalist of Ambassadors of UPH 2015, International Relation UPH 2014, ?UPH has a clear vision and mission. UPH?s vision has always been carried out on every of its student?s organization program such as the Student Executive Board (BEM) with one of its program, Ambassadors of UPH. These programs are able to change students? life.?
Through UPH Public Exposure, Ambassadors of UPH hope that they can share the changes they have experienced as a student as well as alumni; changes and transformations in leadership and vision, in overcoming the fear from coming out of our comfort zone, in solving problems, and in socializing with others.
