UPH Business School Won the Second Prize at 17th ATV ‘Audit Competition?

Business School UPH actively participates in various national level competitions. Recently UPH team consisting of Alexander Dylan (Accounting 2014), Bella Nathania (Accounting 2014), and Heidy Natalia Kindy (Accounting 2014) have won the 2nd Winner in ATV “Audit Competition” 2017 at University of Indonesia on 21-22 November 2017. ATV 2017 is a national accounting Olympiad activity, with the theme of “Challenging Real Auditor’s Life”.

 

The competition begins with a selection of online preliminary rounds on 11-24 November 2017, followed by 31 teams from various universities in Indonesia such as from Gadjah Mada University, Binus University, President University, Prasetya Mulia, Swiss German University, and others. In the Semi-Final stage, there are 15 teams that passed to follow the entire series at the University of Indonesia, it consists of Written, Trivia, Audit Planning, and Hunting Quiz. Furthermore, in the Grand Final there are 8 which selected, among them are UGM “Grande”, UNS “Unnes”, UGM “Completeness”, UNSOED “Capitaxounting2.0”, UBAYA “Ubaya3”, “UII” Team Asset”, BINUS ” Morpheus” and UPH .

 

In the Grand Final, the 8 best teams attend a series of audit simulations consisting of Collecting the Data and Presenting the Data. In the Collecting the Data round, participants must collect data by interacting, negotiating, and strategizing for completing the reports as a basis for the presentation. In the next round, Presenting the Data, participants should make a presentation based on the results of the audits that have been conducted during the Collecting the Data stage. The final result of this round, the jury determines the winner, with UPH as the second winner while the first winner is UGM “Grande”, and the 3rd place is UGM “Completeness”.

 

One of the members of UPH team, Bella Nathania stated that the ATV Contest that organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia has been among the challenging contests.

 

“This competition is challenging because this competition is more about the simulation of the comprehensive audit activities where we as participants are required to put ourselves as a field auditor. This activity supports the participants to not only understand about the theory of audit or other subjects, but the participants are also required to be capable to talk to clients, make decisions, and have a critical thinking in making strategies, “said Bella.
