UPH Welcomes the Visit of Strategic Resources International (SRI) Group, USA

On 19 – 23 February 2018 Faculty of Nursing (FoN) UPH welcomed the visit of Strategic Resources International (SRI), the USA for the Asia Leadership Training Conference, and a leadership event in Asia hosted by SRI.

Total of 40 guests from the USA, and some from Asia, including Thailand, Japan, Bangladesh, HongKong, Australia, Cambodia to the Philippines attended UPH as part of the leadership training program.

This activity was facilitated by Faculty of Nursing (FoN) UPH represented by Christine L. Sommers, MN, RN, CNE – Dean of FoN. In addition to the training leadership, guests also have the opportunity to do a short tour in the Old city of Jakarta to recognize and understand better a glimpse of Indonesia art and culture.

This activity was welcomed by FoN and International Teachers College (ITC) UPH, as SRI aims to assist the development of the medical and management education at the hospitals in Asia-Africa. Besides, nursing education is an area of interest and this visit can help build the connections as well as to see the different systems from other countries.

The guests enjoyed their visit to Indonesia. Both UPH and SRI are committed to stay in touch and maintain relationships. They hope to be able to visit Indonesia again, especially UPH on different occasions.
