Four UPH Students Receive CIMB Niaga Scholarship

This program is CIMB Niaga’s support for the outstanding students in order to complete their higher education well without any obstacles.

 

This program is CIMB Niaga’s support for the outstanding students in order to complete their higher education well without any obstacles.

 

 

Four students of Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) received a scholarship from PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk. period 2017-2019. This program is CIMB Niaga’s support for the outstanding students in order to complete their higher education well without any constraints.

 

 

Total of 100 scholarship recipients from 9 universities, namely Atma Jaya University Jakarta, STIE Trisakti, Universitas Pelita Harapan, STIKOM London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta, Widyatama University Bandung, Gadjah Mada University, Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta, University of Mataram, and the National Institute of Technology Malang

 

 

The scholarship was submitted by Director of Compliance, Corporate Secretary and Legal of CIMB Niaga Fransiska Oei on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Graha CIMB Niaga Sudirman Jakarta. Franciska emphasized that this scholarship is a manifestation of CSR’s focus on education, in addition to the other three pillars of community development and empowerment, environment, and philanthropy.

 

 

The four UPH scholarship recipients are, Henritta Kusumah, Psychology 2016, Clarine Neonardi, Law 2015, Sharice Patricia, Management 2015, and Alexander Ivan, Management 2015. Scholarships in the form of tuition assistance for 4 semesters, a set of laptops and the funding of essay preparation cost.

According to Budhi T. Yuwono, Senior Advisor to Rector UPH, this opportunity is very good to encourage students to have more competitiveness. “I think they are outstanding students and deserve scholarships. Because they managed to pass the screening test both in UPH and CIMB Niaga. This is the proof that UPH produces quality education. I hope that through this opportunity they can be exposed to the world of work earlier so that when they graduate they can compete in the industry. This opportunity is also very good for them so they can be able to interact and create a network with the other scholarship recipients and can motivate them better, “said Budhi.

 

 

Hope for the UPH students were also conveyed specifically by Fransiska Oei, so they would be more enthusiastic in pursuing their ideals career.

 

 

“I hope that this scholarship recipient will have more value when applying for a job. Not only that, we also have some programs for students such as seminars and training that can be utilized, “he explained (rh)
