A. INDONESIA?S HUMAN RESOURCES DESIGN, INDUSTRY 4.0, AND JOKOWI-JK?S NINE CORE AGENDA Indonesia is once again moving forward in preparing their human resources in the Industry 4.0 Era. Indonesia?s actions in welcoming the Industry 4.0 is clearly shown when not too long ago, the Minister of Industry Mr. Airlangga attended the International Conference on the World in the Industry 4.0 Era. Following the conference, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, announced that we are officially ?Making Indonesia 4.0?.
This presidential mandate is immediately executed by a number of Ministers in the Indonesian Governmental cabinet, one of them being the country?s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Mr. Darmin Nasution, who mentioned the change in the people?s mindset and their mindset towards their capacity in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (source: Suara Pembaruan 6 Juli 2018), along with other Ministries. It is also important to note that the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Nasir, announced that he is responsible for the process of preparing human resources that is able to combine ?digital basic? and ?human beings?. Along with the Institute of National Defense (Lemhanas), the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education is changing the whole mindset of the Ministries and Institutions (source: Suara Pembaruan, July 6, 2018).
This strategic step taken is ?spot on?. The Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, the Commander of the Indonesian Higher Education, along with Lemhanas, has been regarded of taking a truly spot-on move that is clearly capable of executing the ?Model SDM Indonesia? (?Indonesian Human Resources Design?) in the Industrial 4.0 Era. Model SDM Indonesia in the Industrial 4.0 Era is able to reach Indonesia?s desired rate of competitiveness, with the plans of achieving Indonesia Hebat (an Excellent Indonesia) in ?State of the Art Program Nawacita Untuk Indonesia?. Indonesia?s rate of competitiveness is emphasized by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to should always be improved, looking at Indonesia?s competitive rate positioning at the 36th out of 137 countries. In addition, Indonesia will face a demographic bonus in 2030.
If we don?t take advantage of the demographic bonus, Indonesia will face really challenging hardships. Because of that, it is important for all of us to ask ourselves: In fulfilling a competitive and truly reliable Indonesian Human Resources Design in the Industrial 4.0 Era, what should be done with Indonesia?s education system?
B. INDONESIAN LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATION
Indonesia?s Educational Model is measured as a follow-up to ?Education in the Family ? Primary Education (Kindergarten & Elementary) ? Secondary Education (Junior High School & Senior High School) ? Higher Education (Undergraduate, Graduate, and Postgraduate studies)?. After completing their Doctorate, it is highly expected that there will be a lot of Professors not only regarded as having a certain academic position, but also as a Model and a motor for Leadership, Education, and Indonesian Mental Revolution in the future. The most important of these is Education in Indonesia ? Education in the Family.
Education in the Family shapes humans and enables them to know themselves and all the potential they have, to know their creator, to know their future through the relationship established in the family. Education in the family is an important foundation for a holistic life. From education in the family, we can see that the most important thing we should pay attention to is the ?basis of education?, which is ?Leadership?. Leadership is learned and taught everywhere, starting with the family, all through higher education. The most important form of leadership is Transformational Leadership, a leadership that transforms the human itself and also transforms everyone around them positively.
Leadership in the Indonesian Education in the Industrial 4.0 Era, there are several things that Indonesia has to take note of.
Towards Indonesia Hebat, determined by a ?Competence in Leadership and Education?, getting ready to shape excellent Indonesia in the Industrial 4.0 Era. |
