![]() Since 1994, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) keeps innovating in the educational aspect. UPH and other university partners from abroad launched international programs, UPH Executive Education Center (EEC), specifically for executives and professionals. This program fully adopts international curriculum, all classes are conducted in English, and international lecturers from top-notch universities worldwide to exclusively offer International Master of Management (Regular IMM and Executive IMM (EIMM), Dual Degree Master of Management/Master of Hospital Management (MM/MHM), Executive Master of Management in Maritime Logistic and Supply Chain and Doctor of Research in Management (DRM). In addition, UPH EEC offers certification programs namely ?Leadership at Work? and ?Driving Growth through Innovation?.
To introduce those excellent programs, UPH EEC conducted an Open House on 29 April 2015 in two sessions. First session was specialized for the Executive Master of Management in Maritime Logistic and Supply Chain program at 11 am and second session was started on 6.30 pm to introduce IMM, EIMM, and MM/MHM. Both sessions were delivered by Gracia Ugut, Ph.D., Executive Director of Lippo Education Initiatives.
Executive Master of Management in Maritime Logistic and Supply Chain is a program which is in cooperation with MCS International and STC Group Rotterdam. This program adopts a holistic view of shipping, integrating commercial, technological and financial aspects as well as maritime law, supply chain management and leadership challenges. The program is taught by international faculty members from STC Group Rotterdam, one of the largest shipping and port management in the world and various world class business schools. This is the first 15 months program in Indonesia which is designed for senior managers at port authority shipping and logistics companies in Indonesia and ASEAN region.
Furthermore, the IMM and EIMM programs are also the first to offer in Indonesia. The IMM program aims for the executives with 0-3 years? working experiences and each student has opportunity to participate in a Leadership Week at London School of Economics. Meanwhile, the EIMM program requires a minimum of 5 years working experience for the participants who will join another Leadership Week in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA for a week.
In her presentation, Gracia explained that the UPH EEC programs emphasize more on the system thinking where students could think critically, team thinking to train the students to work in a team as well as honing their leadership skills, business thinking to expose different functions in business (marketing, operations, etc.) Those types of thinking are essential for students to think strategically in analyzing the environments and to generate competitive advantages. This is the framework of UPH EEC learning system. ?Business should be agile and adjust with the dynamic changes so it needs the strategic thinking to fit into the environment,? explained Gracia.
This Open House was attended by 40 participants from middle-top management position from various company backgrounds. The presentation was then continued with the consultation with UPH EEC Admission Team. For further information about UPH EEC, click link (el) UPH Media Relations
