Technical Workshop of  Proposal Writing

To encourage the researchers from universities in Banten, DIKTI provide a workshop entitled ?Technical Workshop for Research and Community Service Proposal Writing for Higher Education’s Grant?.

To encourage the researchers from universities in Banten, DIKTI provide a workshop entitled ?Technical Workshop for Research and Community Service Proposal Writing for Higher Education’s Grant?. This workshop initiated by Department of Research and Community Service (LPPM) of UPH, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) and the Swiss German University (SGU). Te workshop attended by hundred academics and researchers from the three organizer universities and other universities around Batten. It was held at Building D room 502, UPH campus, Lippo Village, on Monday, January 31, 2011. 

The series of material presented in this workshop are:
1. DIKTI Policy of Research Program and Community Service, by Dra Desmelia M. Sc
2. Writing format and Proposal Content for Exact Sciences Research, by Ir. Hajrial Aswidinnoor, M. Sc, Ph.D., from the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB)
3. Writing format and Proposal Content for Non-exact Science Research, by Prof., Dr. Drajat Tri Kartono from the State University of Surakarta (UNS)
4. Writing Format and content of Community Service proposal, by Ir. Haryadi M.Sc., Ph.D., from Politeknik Negeri Bandung (POLBAN)

The moderators include Prof. Dr.-Ing Harianto Hardjasa Putra, Director of LPPM UPH, Ir. Arko Ph.D, Director of LPPM SGU and Dr. Ir. P.M Winarno, M.Kom, Director of LPPM UMN. 

In his speech, Dr. rer.nat. Petrus Yakobus Topo Suprihadi, chairman of the committee, said that the reason to organize this workshop is the demand of work in a professional manner that cannot be avoided in the era of globalization. Professionalism on a lecturer associated with the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, which is professional in teaching, conducting research and serving the community.

“Professionalism among educators, not profit-oriented, but nuanced pioneering where the institution as a place for the science begins, developed, and flow, provide a better life for the society,” he said.  

The purpose of these workshops are to establish understanding of  lecturers related to DIKTI policies in Research and Community Service, to make inline the proposal writing skills of lecturers as expected by DIKTI and socialize the topic of Research and Community Service. The focus of the discussion consists of the policies of DIKTI, the context of the grant, and topics that are the focus and priorities of DIKTI, as well as the proposal format and the writing format itself.  

UPH Rector, Dr. (HC), Jonathan L. Parapak M.Eng.Sc., in his speech, said that to be a world class university should emphasize in research and community service. Both are important points for Higher Education to be able to have an impact for the wider community. Through the cooperation of some universities, such as in organizing this workshop, expected creates synergies and efficiencies in the management of universities. (ros)
