Acknowledging the Importance of Treating Patients Holistically, dr. Rozi Explores Psychology in UPH Employee Class.

Ahmad Fachrurrozi, popularly known as dr. Rozi is a pediatrician who is currently practicing at the H. Damanhuri Regional General Hospital in Barabai, South Kalimantan. His passion for pediatrics began during his childhood when he received treatment from a highly skilled and friendly doctor, who became his role model and inspired him to pursue a career in medicine.

Having become a pediatrician, dr. Rozi’s curiosity about human behavior, especially children then led him to pursue a degree in psychology. He believes that a child’s mental and psychological health is equally important as physical health. “As a pediatrician, I understand the value of treating patients wholly (holistically). Apart from physical health, psychological aspects are crucial in ensuring that children grow and develop properly,” he explained.

The pediatrician who is also currently undertaking his master’s degree in Developmental Psychology admits that the UPH Employee Class (KK) Undergraduate Program provides various benefits that cannot be found anywhere else. He lauds UPH for its high-quality curriculum, blended learning method, and flexibility in lecture activities that allow him to balance his professional responsibilities as a pediatrician and student.

Rozi also shared that he faces several challenges during his study, including time management. He acknowledges the need to prioritize his duties to balance his responsibilities as a physician, a student, and a family member. Despite his busy schedule, he also manages to find time to share valuable information about children’s health on his Instagram account, @Ozynism. He takes great pride in the support he receives from the accommodating UPH team, which enables him to carry out these diverse roles successfully.

Moreover, dr. Rozi commends UPH for their excellent curriculum and the academic team’s genuine concern for the student’s well-being. He highlights the university’s meticulous planning of lecture schedules to ensure compliance with DIKTI regulations, which allow students to attend lectures regardless of their location.

dr. Rozi hopes that his extensive knowledge of children’s health will enable him to make more significant contributions in the future, including sharing his expertise with parents through books or social media content.
