Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) has officially established a partnership with PT Arkadia Digital Media (Suara.com) regarding the provision of internship programs for students. This collaboration is part of the implementation of the Kampus Merdeka initiative and signifies UPH’s commitment to strengthening synergy with the Business and Industry sectors. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement took place on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at UPH Lippo Village Campus in Karawaci. 

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between UPH and Suara.com was carried out by UPH Vice Rector for Marketing and Development Binsar Pandiangan and PT Arkadia Digital Media President Director Suwarjono. 

“Through this partnership, we hope to build a good and beneficial collaboration for all parties involved. Suara.com will receive support from our students who will undertake internships. Meanwhile, for UPH, this collaboration expands the opportunities for our students to apply the knowledge they have acquired in the classroom directly in the real working world. This collaboration prepares our students to immediately enter the industry upon completing their studies,” said Binsar. 

This collaboration was also welcomed by Suara.com, represented by Suwarjono. He stated, “The partnership with UPH proves that there is no gap between the industry and higher education. Moreover, the media industry cannot stand alone and requires support from universities to explore and develop current issues.” 

PT Arkadia Digital Media is a digital media company that manages several digital media platforms such as Suara.com, bolatimes.com, yoursay.id, hitekno.com, mobimoto.com, and others. 

The collaboration includes internship opportunities for students, job opportunities for alumni, and publications. The event was attended by Suara.com Executive Director Ririn, UPH Department Head of Marketing Communications Wiky Senjani, UPH Chair of the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program Dr. Lala Palupi Santyaputri, S.Sn., M.Si., and UPH Lecturer of the Communication Science Study Program Magdalena Lestari Ginting, S.Sos., M.P.A., M.I.Kom.,. 

UPH always ensures that students receive comprehensive educational experiences that can be applied in the real working world. Collaborations with various industries will provide convenience for students and alumni to build networks and open up broader career opportunities.
