Desain Interior – Fakultas Desain Universitas Pelita Harapan
Desain Interior UPH membekali mahasiswa untuk dapat merancang ruang-ruang interior yang harmonis dan yang mendukung interaksi, emosi, dan kebutuhan manusia. Kurikulum kami mencakup sejarah desain, teori desain, pembentukan dan pengembangan konsep, desain furnitur, desain pencahayaan, studi material, studi warna, dan ergonomi manusia. Di samping itu, mahasiswa mendapatkan keterampilan praktis dalam teknologi digital (CAD, 3D Max, Rhino), manajemen proyek, presentasi, dan manajemen konstruksi. Lulusan program ini akan berkualifikasi untuk memasuki dunia kerja sebagai konsultan, kontraktor, dan perancang di bidang Desain Interior serta bidang terkait lainnya.

Interior Design, School of Design, UPH is the only place where you learn Interior with an approach of Design Thinking - Human Centered Design in which to produce Innovative Design with academic design-based approaches such as Sustainability and have Redemptive Impact. The curriculum refers to the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) and answers to the needs of local and international Design industry with 4 core studies: Design, Humanities, Technology and Profession. Our graduate will be an: Excellent leader in Design Professionals and Entrepreneur, Great creative, innovative and responsible scholars and, Heartful Community servant that serves only for the Glory of God.

S.T., M.T.
Dean of School of Design
Dr. Martin Luqman Katoppo, S.T., M.T. is the Dean of School of Design. He teaches Community & Environmental Design, Design Discourse, Internship/Collaboration Design Research, Practical Work, and Everyday Design courses. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Universitas Kristen Indonesia, Master’s Degree in Architecture specializing in History, Theory and Criticism, and Doctoral Degree in Architecture from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Aside from teaching at university, he is a member of the Indonesian Architects Association, a member of the Indonesian Interior Designers Association, and a founder of the Design as Generator (DAG) community, a community that empowers people through Design.

Julia Tan,
M.Sc.
Julia Tan graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design (2000) and Master of Science in Strategic Design Management (2018) from Parsons School of Design. She joined Janko Rasic Architects in New York City, handling clients such as Credit Suisse, Westdeutsche Landesbank, Bank of Thailand, the African Union, the English-Speaking Union and the Coca-Cola Company. In 2004, she received her Interior Designer license from the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) in New York. Julia later opened her own design firm and a retail jewelry business for ten years. She was active not only in Interior Design and Jewelry Design but also in Product Design, Exhibition Design, Visual Merchandising, Web Design and Textile Design. In 2010, Julia moved to Indonesia with her family. She loves teaching and developing people to discover their passion, purpose and calling. She believes that a great designer brings a transformative solution and impact to the society. She hopes that she can bring the design community together and raise Indonesia's appreciation for this community through international accreditation and licensure.

Phebe Valencia, S.E., S.Sn., M.A. is a lecturer of Interior Design Study Program. She teaches SDII 3 & 4 (Office Design and Public Spaces), Sustainable Design, and Interior Material courses. Her areas of interest are in Sustainable Design and Vernacular Design. She earned her bachelor's degree in Economic and Interior Design from Universitas Pelita Harapan and master's degree in Design from Teesside University.

Bambang Tutuka Adi Nugroho, S.Sn., M.T. is the Department Chair of Interior Design. He teaches SDII 1&2 (residential & retail design, materials & construction, drawing, furniture), Lighting Design, Interior Acoustics, and Transportation Interior courses. His areas of interest include lighting, acoustic, and material. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Universitas Pelita Harapan, and Master’s Degree in Engineering (Building Physics) from Institut Teknologi Bandung. He is also Lighting Design Consultant.

Dr. July Hidayat, M.Sn. is a Lecturer of Interior Design Study Program. She teaches SDII 1 & 2 (Residential & Retail Design), Postcolonial Design, Vernacular Design, Capstone, and Project/Furniture Design Research courses. Her areas of interest include post-colonial design, aesthetics, and phenomenology. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Master’s Degree in Design, and Doctorate’s Degree in Art & Design from Institut Teknologi Bandung. She is also Certified National Educator.

He teaches History of Art & Civilization, Capstone, Project Design Research, Theological Aesthetics, Hermeneutics, SDII4 (Design Theory) courses. His research interests include History of Design, Art & Civilization, Historiography, Christian Worldview, Reformational Philosophy, Theological Aesthetics, and Cultural Hermeneutics. He earned his bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Trisakti University and Master of Arts & Design from Auckland University of Technology. He has National Lecturer Certification and is a Member of the Association of Indonesian Interior Designers, Alumnus of the RCRS-Lemhananas RI, and Member of the Senate Institute for Christian Studies (ICS) Graduate School of Philosophy, Toronto, Canada.

Yenty Rahardjo, S.Sn., M.S. is a Lecturer of Interior Design Study Program. She teaches SDII 3 & 4 (Office Design & Public Space – Design/Drawing), Indoor Typology, and Theology of Place courses. Her research interests include vernacular dwelling, narrative design, interiority, and theology of place. She earned her bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Trisakti University and master's degree from Pratt Institute. Apart from teaching at university, she is also a Member of American Alliance Museum.
