GENERAL REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Open to active high school students (SMA/SMK equivalent).
- Each participant must be officially registered by their school.
- Schools are encouraged to register for more than one category.
2. Registration Period
- Opens: May 26, 2025
- Closes: July 25, 2025
3. How to Register
- Fill in the online registration form via: bit.ly/UPHCUP25
- Upload the following documents:
- Scanned student ID (or letter of active enrolment)
- Signed parental/guardian consent form (template provided)
- Team photo (for group categories)
- Payment must be made via bank transfer. Payment details and confirmation steps will be sent upon registration submission.
4. Registration Fees (non-refundable):
- Basketball: IDR 500,000/team
- Swimming: IDR 75,000/participant per stroke
- Soccer: IDR 750,000/team
- Chess: IDR 75,000/participant
- Band: IDR 200,000/group
- Dance: IDR 200,000/team
5. Technical Meeting & Additional Information
- The technical meeting will be held on Friday, 8 August 2025.
- All participants or designated representatives are required to attend the technical meeting on time, as important briefings on rules, schedules, formats, and technical regulations will be delivered and considered final. Any updates or changes to previously distributed information will only be valid if officially announced during the meeting. A Q&A session will be held to clarify any doubts, and participants are responsible for relaying the information to their teams. Materials may be distributed after the meeting, and all teams are expected to review and adhere to the finalized rules. Respectful behaviour is expected throughout the session, and disruptive conduct may lead to sanctions. Organizers’ decisions made during the meeting are final and binding.
- Participants and chaperones will be provided with UPH CUP 2025 ID Cards during the Opening Ceremony. These ID cards must be always carried and presented when entering the UPH premises.
6. Point System for Perpetual Trophy
Schools will receive points based on placement:
1st Place: 10 pts
2nd Place: 7 pts
3rd Place: 5 pts
Participation: 2 pts
Total points will be accumulated across all registered categories per school.
CATEGORY – SPECIFIC RULES
Basketball (Boys & Girls Team)
- Format: 3-on-3.
- System: Group Stage + Knockout.
- Open to Male and Female Teams.
- Each team consists of four players (three players + one substitution).
- Two sets of uniforms required (home & away).
- FIBA rules apply with adjusted timing.
Swimming
- Competition is open to both male and female swimmers and participants compete in separate male and female categories (no relays, no mixed races).
- Stroke: 50m freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke.
- Each swimmer may enter up to 3 strokes.
- Participants bring their own swim gear (suit, goggles, cap, towel).
- Electronic timekeeping will be used with manual backup.
Soccer
- Each school may register 1 boys’ team (max 16 players: 11 main + 5 reserves or 7+5 for 7-a-side).
- Format: Group stage + knockout round (adjust depending on number of teams).
- Match duration:
- 11-a-side: 2 x 20 minutes halves (5-min break).
- 7-a-side: 2 x 15 minutes halves (5-min break).
- Substitutions: Rolling substitutions allowed up to 5 players.
- All players must wear matching jerseys with numbers, shin guards, and proper shoes.
- Unsporting behaviour (players, coaches, or supporters) may lead to team disqualification.
Chess Competition (Individual)
- Format: Classical (25 minutes + 10 sec/move).
- Swiss system (5 rounds).
- Scoring: 1 point for win, 0.5 for draw, 0 for loss.
Band Competition
- Group size: 4–6 members
- Max performance duration: 10 minutes
- Any genre allowed (no profanity or offensive content)
- Bring your own instruments (drum set provided)
Dance Competition
- Max performance duration: 5 minutes.
- Team size: 5–10 members.
- Any genre welcome (e.g., modern, street, K-pop).
- Props allowed with prior notice.
- All performances must be appropriate for an educational environment.
- Costumes should not be revealing. Dancers wearing skirts or pants that are above the knee must wear leggings that are not skin-coloured.
- Judging Criteria: Choreography, synchronization, creativity, expression, technical skill.
