Immigration Corner at UPH Lippo Village Was Inaugurated by the Regional Head of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Banten.

Tangerang, September 30, 2020 — R. Andika Dwi Prasetya, Bc.I.P., S.Pd., Head of the Regional Office (Kakanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Banten, inaugurated the Immigration Corner at the Building F of Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Lippo Village, Tangerang, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. This Immigration Corner will provide services for all members of the Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan (YPPH) community.

The inauguration, initiated by UPH Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), has made UPH the first university in Banten that has an Immigration Corner. The purpose of Immigration Corner is to facilitate immigration services for the YPPH academic community, both Indonesian citizens and foreigners, such as passport services and residence permits. It affirms UPH as an international university.

UPH and the Immigration Office signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi collaboration. Optimistically, the establishment of the Immigration Corner will open further collaboration between UPH and the Immigration Office in the academic fields, such as research, internship programs, and so on.

“The Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office, Tangerang unit, as a work unit with a Corruption Free Area (WBK) predicate, is fully committed to improving the quality of public services to the community. One of them is by inaugurating the Immigration Corner on UPH Lippo Village campus. The increasing phenomenon of learning across countries makes immigration inevitable. In terms of convenience and management of a residence permits, we hope that the Immigration Corner as a service innovation can provide the best solution for the academic community for fine and easy immigration processes,” said Felucia Sengky Ratna, Head of Class 1 Non-TPI Immigration Office, Tangerang unit.

“We are proud and excited to be working with the Tangerang-Banten immigration office in providing immigration services for the whole family of YPPH. We hope that it will provide better immigration services, especially for students and lecturers from abroad,” explained Alva Manuel Tumilisar, UPH Chief People Officer.
