Lippo Village,?(14/05) ? Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) was visited by 86 most reputable high school students, chosen by Surya Institute. Papua?s goverment promised to cover their academic expenses for studying at several distinguished universities in Jakarta.
These 86 students visited UPH on Wednesday (13/05) and were welcomed by UPH Rector, Jonathan L. Parapak, who said it was a privilege for UPH to be one of the distinguished universities that offer better education to these students.
?I personally want to see Papua improves. We will be very happy to help our brothers and sisters. I am so glad to see the country?s sons and daughters help developing our nation,? he said.
There were also, welcoming the students, Vice President for External Cooperation & Business Development UPH, Budhi T. Yuwono, accompanied by several deans and heads of programs from UPH faculties: Dean of UPH Faculty of Design and Planning, Felia Srinaga; Head of UPH Department of Management, Kim Sung Suk; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of UPH Department of Medicine,? Bambang Sutrisna; Head of UPH Department of Communication? Dessy Kania; and Head of UPH Department of Electrical Engineering, Kuniwati Gandi.
The deans and heads of programs introduced each faculties to the students from Papua. They presented their academic programs clearly and comprehensively to help the students choosing the right area of study.
