A total of 76 new doctors joined the Open Session of the Senate, Oath Pledge and Inauguration of Doctor at Faculty of Medicine ? UPH, on Friday (26/3). In his speech, DR. Dr. Eka J. Wahjoepramono, SpBS ? Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UPH ? said that currently, the medical field is becoming the apple of the community?s eyes. It is all because of the easy access of information through all kinds of media, such as internet, newspaper, and television. It helps people to be more aware of their health. “We ? UPH ? are always striving for quality. I?m sure, those being inaugurated today are the best ones. A doctor should also equip his left brain with the global practices, this is my own experience,” he said. ?At the moment, medical professions in Indonesia still have big opportunities, however, they are not evenly spread out,? added Dr. Eka.

Representatives from teaching hospitals, such as RS. Pusat Angkatan Darat Gatot Subroto (Gatot Subroto ? Central Army Hospital), RS. Marinir Cilandak (Cilandak Marine Hospital), RS. Kepolisian Pusat Raden Said Sukanto (Raden Said Sukanto ?  Central Police Hospital), Sanatorium Dharmawangsa, and Siloam Hospital, attended this inauguration. In the near future, Faculty of Medicine ? UPH will graduate 85 Bachelors of Medicine. So far, UPH Faculty of Medicine has graduated a total of 409 Bachelors of Medicine, and 164 of them have become professional doctors. (sar)
