This MoU will facilitate cooperation of two parties in areas of leadership exchange, faculty exchange, and student interaction.

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) has signed an agreement with  Covenant College, USA  for improvement the quality of education on both parties. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by  Dr. Gary A. Miller, UPH Executive Vice President and Dr. Niel Nelson, Covenant Collage President, in UPH recently (04/11/10).

This MoU will facilitate cooperation of two parties in areas of leadership exchange, faculty exchange, and student interaction. The leader of each institution agreed to visit each other and see the possibilities of cooperation. Faculty exchange program include intensive course, semester program, and visiting professor. While student interaction program covers five areas including service learning, student exchange, student teaching, graduate placement, and university fair.

During the meeting, Dr. Niel Nelson was very impressed with the UPH, especially in Teacher College programs. He expressed a desire to support for the Pelita Harapan Foundation services in advancing education in Indonesia. Currently Pelita Harapan Foundation is developing a Lentera Harapan School in some regions, especially in Eastern Indonesia. (ros)
