On Thursday, October 6, 2011, IBM held career class entitled Work, Career, Calling at MYC Multipurpose Room, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) at 1.30 pm. The class featured speaker Ivandeva Irwantoro, IBM Human Capital Program Leader. More than 100 students from various departments joined this class. Ivandeva on this occasion explained about how to find passion, purpose, and develop progress at work and generally in life. As we were usually taught to avoid failure, Ivandeva suggested to not avoiding it. ?Don?t be afraid to be wrong. Don?t be afraid to fail. The most important thing is how we can cope the failure,? he stated. ?When you make mistakes, what you do next?? he added. He also suggested some students who haven?t found their passion yet to do the best in everything they do now. ?Do your best. Whatever it is you are doing. The worst thing that can happen is you not doing your best because it?ll waste your time,? explained Ivandeva. The session was ended with interview session simulation.
