To support Kampus Bersih (Clean Campus) ? KASIH program initiated on November 5, 2002, UPH in cooperation with BNN established task force. This cooperation has been started since April 2011 and this time, UPH and BNN organized the third workshop at UPH. Speakers featured dr. Muhammad Aidy Rawas from Deputy of Community Empowerment (Plt. Deputi Pemberdayaan Masyarakat) and Drs. Tjipto Sumadi M.Si., M.Ed. from Directorat General of Ministry of Education (Ditjen Dikti Kemdiknas). This workshop was held in two days starting from October 11-12, 2011 at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at F Buildig, 6th floor, UPH. This event that involved students, lecturers, and staffs was inaugurated by UPH Rector Jonathan L. Parapak and UPH Vice President III Dr. Kirk Kaufeldt. In his speech, rector welcomed BNN?s program as it is in line with UPH?s commitment on becoming a free-drugs campus. ?In addition, UPH is committed to be a cigarette-free campus,? he stated. Starting from the smallest thing, cigarette. The rule is applied to not only students, but also lecturers, staffs, and all the guests visiting UPH. He also mentioned UPH plan on establishing an assesment center to prevent and overcome drugs. The plan was warmly welcomed by Deputy of Community Empowerment. ?To empower campus community to fight againsts drugs, task force hopefully will be able to start the campaign inside and outside,? he mentioned.
