UPH is Awarded Outstanding TOEFL iBT implementation 2011

Educational Testing Service (ETS) awarded UPH Outstanding TOEFL iBT implementation 2011 at the ETS International Seminar 2011. This event was held at Borobudur Hotel on Thursday, October 13, 2011. The seminar invited speakers from various countries in ASEAN such as Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, and Indonesia.

The event discussed about the English learning program and assessment done in ASEAN. As we come to globalization era, English becomes an important language to communicate between nations. The participants discussed about the challenges and obstacles each country face in studying and using English.

Various leaders and decision makers from the government sector, education institution, commerce and industry sector, and both national and international sector were coming to the event. The seminar aimed to share the readiness of each ASEAN members in facing ASEAN 2015 and learn from each other regarding the readiness of each countries in terms of their human resources, mainly in the terms of English communication readiness. It is also to influence policy makers to make a step/decision in preparing their human resources English communication skill towards ASEAN 2015 and update Indonesian policy makers in Government, Education and Industry regarding the need of English Fluent-HR towards Global community of Nations 2015.
