UPH Career Center featured Standard Chartered Bank in the On Campus Recruitment (OCR) series. This year, Standard Chartered Bank offered management trainee vacancy for international graduates; however, this does not lessen the chance for regular program graduates to join the company.
Also in this year, Standard Chartered Bank implements a new recruitment system ? Online Assessment. In this system, applicants will submit their CV/resume and undergo online selection process. For the interview, it will be conducted face-to-face.
20 soon-to-be graduates and UPH alumni who are interested to work at Standard Chartered Bank participated in the OCR on October 18, 2013. Taking place at UPH Building D, all of the participants received the information about company and conducted an online assessment as well as interview session.
According to Head of UPH Career Center, Dharamanita Kusumaningrum, what makes UPH OCR different with other campuses is that UPH offer the vacancies specifically for UPH students and alumni. She also said that even though in terms of quantities ? total of UPH students that work with UPH partner companies ? is still need improvement, to date partner companies are happy and satisfied with the quality of UPH graduates that work with them. Addressing the companies? responses, UPH Career Center is planning to hold Career Day in the next year OCR. Career Day is planned to be held for 2-3 days with cooperation from faculties. Career Center will group the companies according to study fields of each faculty. By grouping the companies, graduates hopefully could work according to their expertise. (ym) |
