To enhance the sense of belonging and familiarity between team members of Rector, HRD, Facilities and General, Universitas Pelita Harapan established a togetherness event with the theme “Telling HIS Story” on December 6, 2014.
This togetherness event was attended by 750 people consisting of Cleaning Service, Office Boy & Girl, Gardener, Security, Maintenance and General Section. This event was also an appreciation for their contribution in maintaining UPH campus? cleanliness, beauty and safety. Jonathan L Parapak, Rector of UPH, Raymond Liu, President, Connie Rasilim, VP1, Ainon Manan, VP2, Feteriadi, Senior Director HRD and Bob Smith, former Director of CDAC (Career Development and Alumni Center) UPH, were also present.
The participants were divided into 16 groups and they joined in various interesting togetherness activities, such as Morning Run, ?Poco Poco? Aerobic, Tug of War, Soccer and Performances from each division starting from 07.00 am. Best participants from each activity will be awarded prizes in the form of shopping vouchers.
Sucipto Asan, HRD UPH, expressed his hope, “With this event, we want to remember and remind that all the things UPH has gained and achieved are solely due to God?s Grace and His Acts of Kindness to UPH. We hope that this activity will strengthen the kinship among UPH?s large family. And, so that everyone in UPH can continue to maintain and improve the quality of work in order that UPH will forever be known as a Clean, Beautiful, Lovely and Comfortable University.”
One of the participants of this event, Mrs. Rosmiyanti, Cleaning Service of the ISS, achieved the Best Participant Award for the Morning Run event and received a shopping voucher at Hypermart. She delivered her message and impression of this event, saying, “The most memorable thing is that we are taught the value of co-operation through this activity. The sense of belonging was also deeply felt because we could witness all participants, both from the rectorate and HRD wanted to blend in with our class, which could be said as a lower class. Hopefully this event will be established regularly, to increase familiarity among the whole family of UPH “. (ca)
