UPH Conservatory of Music to Perform on Java Jazz Festival 2015

Conservatory of Music (CoM) will perform on Java Jazz Festifal (JJF) 2015 on Friday, 6 March 2015 at 4.45 pm, held in Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Outdoor Stage 2

Conservatory of Music (CoM) will perform on Java Jazz Festifal (JJF) 2015 on Friday, 6 March 2015 at 4.45 pm, held in Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Outdoor Stage 2. Boby Limijaya, a lecture at CoM UPH as well as the Music Director of CoM on this JJF mentioned that it is the right time to exhibit the musical quality at the higher level. CoM UPH is invited to perform as JJF tried to explore the new talents who have never been a lineup yet at the event.

?In addition to showcase CoM UPH at the international level, CoM UPH is also motivated to recover the true Jazz sense of musicality on this Java Jazz festival,? explained Echa Soemantri (Drummer and CoM UPH students 2013), who is undertaking as the Band Leader of CoM UPH on JFF. Boby Limijaya along with Jimmy Lim (CoM UPH alumni 2011) and Alice Grace (CoM UPH student 2013) has developed a kind of sophisticated yet an ear candy arrangement of 13 traditional songs that represent different regions in Indonesia.

 

Boby cleared out that the performers who are able to come on JFF stage are not selected purposelessly. ?I also examine their skills and attitudes,? uttered Boby. Approximately 12 CoM students selected from all batches and one CoM lecture have been joining the team. They are Alice Grace and Julius as keyboardist, Echa Soemantri as drummer, Christian Benedict as bassist, two guitarists, Andri Wibowo, CoM UPH lecture and Nathania Jualim, four strings players Lidya Evania, Felicia Tevani, Jessica Yohanes, Nathaniel, and vocal by Jimmy Lim, Marini Nainggolan, and Rachel Christopher.

?We hope through this opportunity, the performers do not merely look at the number of audiences, yet still eager to perform at their best instead, so that they will gain a remarkable experience.
