
On Saturday, November 12, 2016, UPH Faculty of Medicine celebrated its 15th Dies Natalis. On the occasion, DR. (HC) Mochtar Riady as the Founder of UPH Faculty of Medicine has also attended the celebration. In his speech, he conveyed his hopes for the Faculty of Medicine.
“I hope that through UPH Faculty of Medicine, we can contribute to a better future of Indonesia. I pray so that each of us can become useful individuals for our country,” he stated.
Aside from DR. Mochtar, this event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Dr. dr. Eka J. Wahjoepramono, SpBS., PhD. – Dean of UPH Faculty of Medicine, dr. Vito Anggarino Damay, Sp.JP., MKes., FIHA., FICA. ? Head of the 15th Dies Natalis Committee and Head of IKANI, a number of lecturers and students of UPH Faculty of Medicine.
This celebration was enlivened with ?potong tumpeng’ procession by DR. (HC) Mochtar Riady along with Prof. Eka, dr. Vito and dr. Erna.

In his speech, Prof. Eka emphasized the importance of maintaining a good relationship between alumni. “Alumni Association is very important. In maintaining the relationship, we have to communicate and gather often, it doesn’t matter if it’s informal, because the most important thing is the bond,” he said.
Moreover, Prof. Eka also encouraged all students and alumni of UPH Faculty of Medicine to develop their potentials and to seek deeper for knowledge. “You have to be greater than us,” he conveyed.

The representative of Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) for Banten, dr. Hadiwijaya, MPH., MHKes., was present during the celebration. Through his speech, he talked about the importance of relations between doctors. “It is true that doctors can’t work by themselves, they need help from fellow doctors,” he stated.

dr. Vito Anggarino Damay, Sp.JP., MKes., FIHA., FICA., As an alumni of UPH Faculty of Medicine, led a session called “Quick Clinical Evaluation in Acute Cardiology Cases” with dr. Wendy Wihardja as the moderator.
