UPH Festival 24 Welcomes Alumni and Families of Graduates

UPH Family Fun Day, Brings UPH Alumni from all batches and Have The Futsal Competition

The largest annual event of UPH Festival 24 was held from 16-19 August 2017. The event was aiming not only to celebrate the new academic year or to welcome the new family of students of 2017 but also for alumni and public. Especially for the alumni, the committee prepared a special ‘Alumni Home Coming‘ event participated by many faculties and batches.

 
Therefore, in order to facilitate the event, UPH Alumni Center with Ikatan Keluarga Alumni UPH (UPH Alumni Family Association) held an event of UPH Family Fun Day to bring togetherness of UPH Alumni from all batches, and also to keep a relationship between UPH and its Alumni.

The event was organized on Saturday, 19 August 2017, coinciding with the last day of UPH Festival 24. The event started by doing Futsal (mini soccer) matches followed by 40 people divided into 4 teams, with each team member consisting of various batches and faculties.

The seven-round match begun at 10 am and ended at 12 noon. The price of the event is quite enticing since the winner of Futsal Cup Tournament got 10 Free Entrances of Aryaduta Country Club which can be used by all of their family members.

In addition to UPH futsal field, the Olympic-size swimming pool was also used to facilitate the Family Fun Day event. The swimming pool is normally used for competitions and student swimming activities. As for this event, the swimming pool was filled with the variety of water games played by children of the alumni. The alumni could use the facilities with their family member, while still be able to hang out together with other alumni.

At noon, the event was continued by having lunch together on the 4^th floor Hope Building UPH Karawaci. Hence, the event became more exciting by various door prizes awarded from sponsors, including special price vouchers for medical checkup & pap smear at Siloam Hospitals, free of charge domestic tickets by Citilink, vouchers of Aryaduta Hotel, and various kinds of electronic devices.

Yongky Angga, chairman of UPH Alumni Association wishes that this kind of event could be held more regularly. He thinks that sport events can become a tool for togetherness and solidarity. In the future, he hopes that the activities will not only revolve around futsal or sport events, but can also be in another form of big routine events.
