Parents? Gratefulness and UPH Teachers College Graduates

UPH Faculty of Education or Teachers College (TC) held an Inauguration ceremony for 203 graduates, which consisted of 191 TC graduates and 12 International Teachers College (ITC) graduates on May 31, 2017, at the Multifunction Hall, UPH Karawaci

UPH Faculty of Education or Teachers College (TC) held an Inauguration ceremony for 203 graduates, which consisted of 191 TC graduates and 12 International Teachers College (ITC) graduates on May 31, 2017, at the Multifunction Hall, UPH Karawaci. Through this inauguration ceremony, UPH hopes that graduates and their parents were able to feel grateful for the opportunity to obtain an education, which will be useful for their teaching career in the future, and for them to share with their future students.

 

Representing the graduates, Rebika Thapa, B. Sc., Graduate of English Language Teaching of ITC UPH, who comes from Nepal, stated that she had found her dreams and her second home, herein UPH.

“I have experienced truly treasurable moments during my years here. Sure, there were numerous obstacles in the beginning, especially due to the culture shock. But together with everyone in ITC, they encouraged me to learn how to share, how to love each other, and I will keep on learning. I believe that in this place, I have obtained the true knowledge, and my faith in God has grown stronger. And in order to have a Godly character, I have learned to become a person who always loves God, and who always do everything for Him. 

 
 

After that, Yuliana Lolopayung, mother of YosuaTalantan, S.Pd., B.Sc., Graduate of UPH TC Mathematics Education, who comes from a simple family, felt very grateful for the opportunity her son has received to learn in UPH.

?We have seen how God is working in our lives through our son, as he will be commissioned to a place that God has prepared for him. Yosua, the fifth child out of our nine children, is our first child who is able to taste university. Through his times in UPH, his character has changed and he has become a courageous person. I feel very grateful,? said Yuliana

Aside from Yuliana, Tiorida Arison Limbong who came from Medan also felt proud of her daughter, Lina Limbong who had graduated from UPH.

 

?I?m very proud that my daughter has finally graduated from UPH. I believe that UPH is a great place to learn and it taught our daughter to love God even more and to become a successful individual. I hope that one day, my daughter will become a better person, and a good servant through her career as a teacher,? Tiorida stated.

Like her mother, Lina Limbong was also very proud and happy to have graduated from UPH.

?From the beginning, I knew that I have to become a teacher, but by learning here, I could understand that being a teacher means that I will have to serve others. I enjoy my time here, I come to love God even more, and I learned to share my knowledge and experience with other people.
