A New Professor at UPH Medical School.

The University of Pelita Harapan recently announced the appointment of Wahyuni Lukita Atmodjo, Ph.D as Professor of Medicine for its Medical School.

The University of Pelita Harapan recently announced the appointment of Wahyuni Lukita Atmodjo, Ph.D as Professor of Medicine for its Medical School.

Wahyuni’s appointment brought to five the number of professors employed by the Medical School. Other professors at the Medical School are Prof. David Fairholm the Executive Dean, Prof. Bambang Sutrisna, Prof . Rondang Soegianto, and Prof. Dr. Budhianto Suhadi.

UPH Rector Jonathan Parapak expressed his credits to UPH’s Medical School first time professorial inaguration for one of it’s lecturers to achieve the title. He welcomes Prof. Wahyuni appointment as an important step to develop the Medical School further as one of the country’s leading medical faculties.

Having been around in the medical field for 30 years, Prof. Wahyuni now receive the title of Professor from the government.

In accordance with her specialization in clinical anatomy, she asserted that the Medical School is now enhancing clinical studies including clinical anatomy. The approach would facilitate doctors in diagnosing patients accurately. This will make doctors more competent in their respective fields because they would be able to analyze the change in the behavior of human cells and the mechanism that leads to diseases.

She explained that a thorough knowledge of anatomy could prevent doctors from conducting malpractices.

Prof. Wahyuni said that it would be good for Indonesia to have a medical science museum to enrich research activities. She said that in Japan, real human organs are put on display in such museum and this is very useful for educational purposes.
