Psychology.

Our graduates are equipped with the science of psychology that is explored through its many branches such as clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, marriage & family, social psychology, industrial and organisational psychology, and cross-cultural perspective. As students engage in the study of human behavior, they are also invited and encouraged to elaborate the understanding from a Christian worldview within the framework of Reformed theology. This way, students will gain a holistic and comprehensive understanding of the human mind and human behavior, and develop the skills to apply the principles of psychology to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities.

Yonathan Aditya, Ph.D. is the Dean of Psychology Study Program. He teachesCounseling Psychology, Counseling Workshop, and Close Relationship courses. His areas of interest include spirituality, well-being, and interpersonal relationship. He earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Reformed Indonesia (STTRI) and Doctor in Counseling Psychology from De La Salle University in Manilla. He also received Certification in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy from William Glasser Institute.

Karel Karsten Himawan, M.Psi., Ph.D., Psi. is a Lecturer of Psychology Study Program. He teaches Social Psychology, Ethical Codes of Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology courses. His areas of interest include issues related to singleness, romantic relationship, gender roles, spirituality and religiosity, and well-being in the cultural context. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Master of Psychology in Adult Clinical Psychology from Universitas Tarumanagara, and Doctor of Philosophy in Social-clinical Psychology Field from The University of Queensland in Australia. He is also a licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ikatan Psikolog Klinis, HIMPSI), and has a professional practice with a focus in handling cases related to romantic relationship, marriage, and family, as well as life adjustment issues in young adults.

Her areas of interest include mental health awareness, mental health stigma, help-seeking behaviour, positive psychology and anxiety management. Caroline Mathilda V Bolang, S.Psi., M.Si. is a lecturer in the Faculty of Psychology, Pelita Harapan University, Lippo Village. She teaches Introduction to Psychology, Psychodiagnostic, and Educational Psychology. She has this huge passion in education in general and educational psychology, and has served at SPK schools for 13 years as school principal, teacher, and school counsellor. Align with her passion and experience, her areas of interest are the psychology and science behind learning, teaching, instructional strategies, and learning difficulties. Besides working mainly in the formal education fields, she loves to serve as counsellor, and a teacher volunteer for children in some remote areas.

Dr. Sri Lanawati, M. Si. is a Lecturer of Psychology Study Program. She teachesEducational Psychology, Developmental Psychology 1, Developmental Psychology 2, Psychology of the Elderly, Psychology of Gifted Children, and Psychology of Play courses. Her areas of interest include early childhood education programs, psychology of play, psychology of the elderly, emotional intelligence, and learning achievement. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Master of Science, and Doctor of Psychology in Educational Psychology from Universitas Indonesia.

Teguh Lesmana, M.Psi., Psi.

Lecturer
Teguh Lesmana, M.Psi., Psi. is a lecturer in the faculty of Psychology, Pelita Harapan University, Lippo Village. He teaches Statistics, Quantitative Research Methods, Psychometry, Psychodiagnostics 1. He earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the Tarumanagara University, a masters in Psychologist Profession (Major in Adult Clinical Psychology, Minor in Industrial Organizational Psychology) from Tarumanagara University. Until now, he is registered and has a license as Psychologist at HIMPSI (Indonesian Psychological Association) Province of West Java. He is also actively involved as a member of Indonesia Positive Psychology Association.

Dr. Yusak Novanto,
M.Psi., Psi.

Lecturer
Dr. Yusak Novanto is a lecturer in the Psychology Study Program at UPH Lippo Village Tangerang. Currently, he teaches courses in Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, Quantitative Research Methodology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Consumer Behaviour, Organizational Behaviour, Training and Development, Cognitive Psychology, and capita selecta in Industrial Organizational Psychology courses. His areas of interest include industrial and organizational psychology, human resource management, positive psychology, social psychology, psychology of religion, and the integration of psychology and theology.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Indonesia, a Masters in Psychologist Profession (Major in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Minor in Clinical Psychology) from the University of Indonesia, and also a Master of Science (concentration in Educational Psychology) from the University of 17 August 1945, Surabaya. In addition, he has also completed a Doctoral study program in the Field of Industrial Organizational Psychology from Airlangga University, Surabaya. Until now, he is registered and has a license as Psychologist at HIMPSI (INDONESIAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION) Province of Banten. He also has organizational experience as member board of HIMPSI JATIM on 2015-2019.

He also has several experiences to become a trainer, facilitator, talk show and seminar speaker at various psychology topics which held on radio, Christian schools, and churches. He is also involved in the board of APK (Christian Psychological Association) HIMPSI as Chair for the 2022-2026 period. He is also member of AP2I (Indonesian Positive Psychology Association) and APIO (Organizational Industrial Psychology Association). In addition, he also has professional experience as a reviewer for several scientific journals, marketing and admission manager, HRD Coordinator, and previously become board members for an educational foundation in Surabaya.
