Overview

The Internal Medicine Specialist Program at FK UPH offers a comprehensive outcome-based curriculum integrating in-depth clinical science and research. Residents gain extensive clinical exposure across the teaching hospital network. Our flagship program, Integrative Immuno-Oncology (IOI), equips residents with holistic competencies to manage complex interactions between the immune system, cancer, and chronic inflammation. The program produces independent, innovative Internal Medicine Specialists embodying the six-star doctor principles—care provider, decision-maker, communicator, community leader, manager, and researcher—ready to deliver holistic healthcare globally.

Career Path

Graduates holding the Sp.PD degree possess promising career prospects as independent internists in diverse national healthcare facilities. Broad opportunities exist for further subspecialty studies across 11 disciplines: Allergy Immunology, Endocrine Metabolic, Gastroenterohepatology, Geriatrics, Kidney Hypertension, Hematology Oncology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Tropical Infectious Diseases, Psychosomatics, and Rheumatology. Beyond clinical tracks, graduates embodying the physician-scientist profile have excellent opportunities to build careers as academic teaching staff, clinical researchers, or leaders in medical institutions.
