UPH Organizes ‘Alumni Futsal Cup’ to Strengthen Alma Mater Bonds.

It is important to grow a sense of togetherness and build strong bonds as one alma mater. This was shown by Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) in their third UPH Alumni Futsal Cup. Not only is it a reunion event for the alumni, but it is also a medium for the soccer-loving alumni to channel their hobbies and to network with other alumni.

The event was held on 26 October 2019 at the Multi-Sport Venue of the UPH Lippo Village campus. It is an event organized by the Alumni Center and UPH Sport and 59 participants in attendance were divided into six teams. All of the participants are UPH alumni from 1994 to 2015 and they come from various majors, such as Law, Hospitality, FaST (Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering), FIK (Information and Technology Systems), SoD (Architecture, VCD, Product Design), Teacher College, and Faculty of Nursing.

This time, the UPH Alumni Futsal Cup champion was Toxic FC, which is a team comprised of nine alumni from Law, Management, Information Systems, and Industrial Engineering. The second-place winner as The Legend TC Soccer Team one comprised of ten alumni of Teacher College. The winners received amazing prizes such as the rotating trophy. The event also shared interesting door prizes to its participants.

Here are the participant testimonies:

Nevio Parodi, Architecture 1994
“This was a great event and I met up with old friends and discussed business. I remember my time at UPH when there was only Gedung A, Asia Tower, and Taman Sari on campus. The first batch had 300 students only. UPH went through many changes; UPH in my time is different from UPH now. Everything is digital now. Many alumni have become conglomerates or entrepreneurs.”

Evan Khita, Law 2015
“This was a great event for the alumni to keep in touch with their alma mater. The event was also memorable because I can gather with my friends and play soccer with old classmates.”

Patar Lumbangaol, Economics 2015
“The event brought me great joy because I can get to know my seniors, even from the very first batch.”
