UPH Organizes Graduation of 1755 Students from 38 Study Programs, President Director of PT Link Net Tbk Attends Graduation of Three Graduate Employees of UPH MM Study Program.

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), as a comprehensive private university with thirteen faculties, organized the graduation of 1755 students from 38 study programs (Prodi) on 22 November 2019 at the Grand Chapel UPH Lippo Village campus. This was the second graduation event of the year, with a total of 4000 graduates. In the procession, 1428 graduates graduated, comprised of 1094 bachelor’s, 332 master’s, and 2 Ph.D’s. Occurring at the same time with UPH’s 25th Dies Natalis, now there are 35000 graduates of UPH serving in many areas within and outside of Indonesia.

The President Director of PT Link Net Tbk, Marlo Budiman, witnessed the graduation of three employees of his company, who are all in the Master of Management studies. They are Imaniati Teguh Putranti, Leo Borise, and Kafin, who completed their studies with cum laude and magna cum laude predicates. The three graduates received the Master Degree Scholarship Program from PT Link Net Tbk. The two-year program was organized by PT Link Net Tbk in collaboration with UPH’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

Marlo Budiman is proud of the PT Link Net Tbk employees who graduated and hopes that they will be more active in a career.

Marlo Budiman added, “We are opening the opportunity of other employees to participate in this scholarship program, which is entering its fourth year. With the added knowledge and skills, we hope that they can achieve more, opening more chances of promotion.”

UPH Chancellor, Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc., gave his appreciation to the three graduates of PT Link Net Tbk, who are the results of UPH’s synergy with the industry.

The Chancellor said, “We hope that they will serve even better and improve the developing Link Net. I am glad that UPH can contribute as well.”

The Chancellor advised the graduates to be ready to be sent as salt and light into the professional world while raising high moral values. This is so that the graduates can carry out what the President envisioned an improved Indonesia.

The Secretary/Ptl. Head of LLDIKTI Wilayah III, Dr. M. Samsuri, also attended the graduation. He delivered three criteria that graduates must have which are scientific competence, qualification skills, and soft skills communication.

Dr. Samsuri said, “I hope that UPH graduates will create new field jobs because this will benefit us more. For those who are continuing their studies, I hope that you will become researchers and academics because Indonesia needs them. For those diving into the working world, always be unique, work hard, be creative, and work sincerely.”

In the graduation, the best graduates from each stratum were inaugurated, who are: Elvina, Bachelor’s in Prodi Biology; Ferdi Antonio, Masters in Hospital Administration Management; and Wawan Zulmawan, Ph.D. in Law. The graduation ceremony was held in two sessions and 3000 people were attending the event. There was also the Founder of UPH, Dr. (HC) James T. Riady, the students’ parents, and other guests attending the ceremony.
