LIMA Basketball Nationals 2018 has been completed. The grand event was conducted at Airlangga University Surabaya Indoor Sport Centre in 9-16 August 2018. University of Pelita Harapan Banten is still the strongest team in men sector of LIMA Basketball Nationals. Like the GJC final replay match, UPH successfully conquered University of Esa Unggul (UEU) in this national final. For four consecutive years, the Eagles won the competitions. Meanwhile in the women sector, University of Pelita Harapan had struggled and got the best results by taking the second place.

University of Pelita Harapan (UPH) Men Basketball Team Banten successfully keeps up the designation of the Student League (LIMA) Basketball Nationals in the sixth season of the event. In the grand final on Thursday (8/16), UPH defeated University of Esa Unggul (UEU) in a tight and thrilling battle. Both sides beat each other in the last two duels since July. UPH won in the final of the Greater Jakarta Conference (GJC). UEU struck back in the 2018 Nationals group phase.
UPH Eagles led the first quarter with a score of 19-16. They looked dominant when they were 27-18 ahead in the first five minutes of the second quarter. However, the UEU Swans chased until the position of 31-31 during the half-match break at Airlangga University (Unair) Sport Centre Sector C, Surabaya.

Hendra (9) made the most points in this quarter with six points. The UEU point guard also made five more points in the second quarter. Muhamad Arrighi (3) made the most points in the second quarter with six points.
A tight competition was seen again from a draw (39-39) in the first half of the third quarter. UEU turned ahead at the end of this quarter. The third quarter ended with a score of 48-47. But the rebound became a benefit of the Eagles. They produced a total of 54 reflected balls, while UEU had only 43 pieces.

More the points shoot, 5 pieces compared to 3 pieces, also gave benefits for UPH. A crucial three-point was created in the last half minute. UPH also keeps up their designation for four seasons.
