The Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan is a four-year specialist medical education program established as part of the Faculty of Medicine’s Strategic Plan to expand access to specialist medical education and to improve the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia. The program was developed based on comprehensive studies and benchmarking with various Anesthesiology and Intensive Care specialist training programs at both national and international levels. Its implementation is supported by the strong clinical service capacity of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Faculty of Medicine UPH, with a particular strength in neurotrauma anesthesia.
The program has received official approval from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia through Decree No. 5858/E1/HK.03.00/2024 dated September 27, 2024. The program was officially established and has been conducting academic activities since early 2025.
Vision
To produce innovative and independent specialists in Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy who demonstrate excellence in neurotrauma anesthesia and contribute to research as well as to service for society, the nation, and humanity.
Mission
1. To provide high-quality education in the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialist Program, with excellence in the field of neurotrauma anesthesia, that is recognized nationally and internationally.
2. To develop comprehensive basic and applied research, particularly in the field of neurotrauma anesthesia, as well as community service based on national values and religious morals.
3. To implement study program governance by applying quality assurance principles that are credible, transparent, accountable, responsible, and equitable.
