What is Electrical Engineering?
Electrical Engineering (EE) is a branch of engineering that focuses on electricity and its applications in daily life. This programme equips students with knowledge and understanding of concepts, design, development, and production of electrical and electronic devices. EE students learn to study, design, and implement components and systems that utilise electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. In addition, EE students will also engage in discussions on energy production from new sources, energy storage processes, as well as energy-saving methods.
Core Competencies of Electrical Engineering Students
To succeed in the learning process as an EE student, there are several core competencies that must be mastered. These include strong foundations in mathematics and physics, which are essential for solving practical problems and applying electrical circuits. Problem-solving skills are also key to success, as students will be required to identify challenges and find solutions to various electrical issues.
Are you a science graduate (IPA) interested in studying Electrical Engineering? Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) offers an EE programme worth considering.
