The 15th UPH Festival, slated to be opened at August 16, will be colored by the performance of numerous Jakartan artists and talented students showing various attractive events a week-long.
The performance organized by the UPH Music Conservatory is part of the effort to manifest the holistic and transformative educational philosophy espoused by this prominent university.
The performance of various music during the festival is not only meant for entertainment, but also a medium to get the important messages across to different parties.
?We want everyone to rejoice, because I can see that Indonesian people are now lacking smile and joy. We hope that this event, including Gospel in Harmony, will be of benefit not only to UPH students but also for the Indonesian public in general?, said Antonius Sugeng, Music Director UPH Festival.
?With the Music Corner, we hope to implant religious values and care for environment,? he adds.
He explains that the concert, meant to attract thousands of visitors, is for the students and general public to ?reflect on their life journey and realize that the final goal of this life is to return to the Lord.?
