Pelita Harapan School of Hospitality and Tourism won a bronze medal in Asian Junior Chef Culinary Competition which was held on JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
The participants were tourism schools and hotels that came from ASEAN countries including Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.
STPPH delegated one team for the competition; they were Martin, Raymond Noveriyanto, and Gabriella. The team was led by Gregorius Nyoman.
??
Dean of UPH?s School of Hospitality and Tourism, Demson Gultom said that ?I am quite proud and surprised of this achievement.?
?STPPH actually doesn?t have any specialization on cooking class in our curriculum while other competitors like Malaysia and Singapore are specialized on cooking course.? he explained.
Beside this attainment, STPPH had set the record for MURI (Museum Rekor Indonesia) by building the biggest Ginger Bread House in Indonesia on April 2007.
?
With these achievements, the Dean is hoping that the students will be more focused in this field and would like to enhance their capabilities.?
