Presidential spokesman, Dino Patti Djalal confirmed, that the strategic comprehensive partnership will take place between US and RI.
?I cannot yet explain thorougly the content of this comprehensive partnership strategy. Surely the partnership will have to be balanced to all sectors: politics, economy, diplomacy, trade, investments, people to people, education, information, and technology. While before, it was more concentrated in politics and trade, now it will be more thorough,? said Djalal.
Djalal stated this in the seminar held by The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences ? UPH, today (29/04). The seminar entitled Is There Any Change discussed the changes Barack Obama had accomplished during the first 100 days of his presidency.
US Ambassador for Indonesia, HE Cameron R. Hume, who also spoke in the seminar asserted that US is ready to help Indonesia? face many challanges in the education sector, infrasructure, and other key sectors that still needs special attention.
Hume also stated that Obama?s role as the US President that once lived in Indonesia has become one of the main foundations holding US and RI?s partnership now. ?As partners, our two countries will seek to promote democracy, tolerance, and peace throughout Southeast Asia and beyond,? he said.
