These are the first batch of students undergoing UPH and LTU? cooperation on students exchange program.

LTU and UPH had signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 1998 for an academic exchange program which includes student exchange programs.

The students studying at LTU appreciate the opportunity to study abroad. Two students had written testimonials that describe their experiences studying at LTU.

Having selected as an exchange student to La Trobe University can be simply represented by one word : WONDERFUL. ?The experience i had was just really priceless. ?Living overseas, studying in a well-known University, while improving my english and making new friends, all are completely covered in this one program. ?If you had the chance to go on exchange to La Trobe, take it. ?I am sure you will be satisfied and enriched with the experience you’ll get.?

Living and studying overseas have always become my dream. I thought it will only last as a dream until one day I saw a big poster attached on the attention board in front of my department?s office containing announcement about scholarship of being an exchange student to La Trobe University, Australia. Maybe there are no words suitable to describe how happy I was that time.?

So, after taking that chance, now here I am, writing this testimonial in my room in Australia. I have been in Australia and studying at La Trobe for about 4 months already and I am really loving every single minute of it. I love the environment, the people, the study, the food, and especially the weather since it is really different with Indonesia?s.?

Yet, it was not always the easiest experience. Experience I have at the moment is kind of a real exercise of independence. I am thrown completely out of my comfort zone, make new friends, experience new cultural life, different system of studying, and have to deal with my own money. Yet, I do learn a lot from this. Because I am on my own and living with different cultures, it just opens up my eyes. I learn more about myself and what I am capable of.?I am also happy to be able to study on exchange to La Trobe University.?

There are too many highlights during my 4 months becoming La Trobe University student to mention them all but the best thing is my experience to different cultures, not only to Australian culture but to many cultures like Germany, America, India, Nepal, China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, to name a few. For me, studying on?exchange is really a break from normal life in which my studies can still continue, whilst I am having the time of my life in a completely different environment.?

The whole experience is unbelievable and I am never going to forget this.
